Coyote-Herbs Team Raw. Rare. Independent.
I’ve purchased your bitter apricot kernels but need to know the following:
1. How do you certify they are pesticide-free?
2. What were the results of testing for amygdalin content and heavy metals.
Thanks for your attention,
D Gilmore
Subject: Re: Product information / Apricot kernels
Hello D Gilmore,
Thank you for your message and for choosing our product.
Regarding your questions:
1. Our bitter apricot kernels are sourced from traditional, natural farming regions (primarily in Turkey and Uzbekistan). The trees grow naturally without the use of commercial pesticides or chemical fertilizers. However, please note that we sell this as a raw, natural agricultural product and do not carry a formal organic certification document.
2. Because these kernels are a raw, unprocessed botanical product, the naturally occurring compounds (including amygdalin) can fluctuate significantly from tree to tree and harvest to harvest. Therefore, we do not run specific laboratory tests for exact amygdalin percentages or heavy metal profiles for individual batches.
As always, we recommend doing your own research regarding the handling and usage of raw apricot kernels.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Kind regards,
